Daytona Beach, FL (My Sportsbook) - Rae Forker Evans was elected chairman of the Ladies Professional Golf Association Board of Directors, the LPGA announced on Tuesday. "Rae has helped guide the LPGA in recent years as a member of the Board and her leadership and business acumen will be invaluable in her new role as chairman," LPGA Commissioner Ty M. Votaw said. "As the LPGA prepares for the transition of a new commissioner and continues to build on the momentum of our Fans First strategic business plan, I know Rae will serve the LPGA well as its chairman." Evans, the founder and president of Evans Capitol Group in Washington, D.C., will replace Marguerite Sallee. Evans has been a member of the LPGA Board of Directors since 2002.
