Flushing, NY (My Sportsbook) - The New York Mets have activated Kaz Ishii from the 15-day disabled list and the lefthander is expected to start Tuesday's contest against the Cincinnati Reds. Ishii was put on the DL back on April 22 with a pulled muscle on his left side. The 31-year-old hurler, who was acquired just prior to the start of the season from the Los Angeles Dodgers for catcher Jason Phillips, is 0-2 with a 4.82 ERA in three starts this year. He has allowed 10 runs on 10 hits in 18 2/3 innings this season, striking out 14 and walking 13. Ishii takes the roster spot of Victor Diaz, who was sent to Triple-A Norfolk following last night's 9-2 win. Diaz was hitting .294 with four homers and 15 RBI.
