Miami Heat begin a four-game road trip on Wednesday when they travel to Boston to take on the Celtics at the FleetCenter.
The Heat lost for the sixth time in seven games on Monday, falling to the Houston Rockets in overtime, 105-100.
Eddie Jones paced Miami with 32 points, including 17 in the fourth quarter. Jones also collected 10 rebounds, seven assists and six steals. Caron Butler chipped in 18 points and Brian Grant ended with 16 for the Heat.
Miami held a three-point edge late in regulation, but Steve Francis forced the overtime when he nailed a three-point shot at the buzzer.
Jones sank a three-point shot with 43 seconds remaining in OT to give the Heat a 100-99 advantage. But Cuttino Mobley responded with a driving layup to put Houston in front for good.
Miami is just 2-9 on the road this season and 2-11 against the Eastern Conference, including an 0-6 mark within the Atlantic Division.
Boston had a two-game winning snapped in its last outing, falling to the Bulls in Chicago, 94-83, on Monday.
Paul Pierce collected 37 points, 15 rebounds and five assists for the Celtics. Antoine Walker had 16 points and nine rebounds in the setback.
The Celtics shot just 33 percent from the floor made just 5-of-24 shots from three-point range.
Guard Tony Delk missed Monday's game with left knee tendinitis. He is questionable for Wednesday's affair.
The Celtics are 10-4 at home this season and 13-6 versus the East, with a 7-2 record within the Atlantic.
Boston won three of four meetings with the Heat last season, but the teams split the two contests at the FleetCenter.
