Cleveland, OH (My Sportsbook) - The
Cleveland Cavaliers attempt to snap a 14- game losing streak to the Seattle SuperSonics when the teams meet at Gund Arena on Monday.
The Cavs haven't beaten the Sonics since November 27, 1993 in Cleveland. Seattle has been victorious in its last seven trips to Cleveland and has never lost at Gund Arena.
The Sonics are 2-2 so far on their current five-game road trip, which ends Monday. Seattle is 8-7 away from KeyArena overall this season.
Most recently, Seattle suffered a 91-78 loss to the Pistons in Auburn Hills on Saturday to have its two-game winning streak snapped.
Gary Payton tallied 24 points, six rebounds and six assists for the SuperSonics and Rashard Lewis contributed 20 points and 11 boards in the loss. However, Payton and Lewis were the only Seattle players to score in double figures.
The Sonics shot just 39 percent from the field, including hitting 5-of-16 three-pointers, and made just 13-of-22 free throws.
Seattle fell to 6-7 against teams from the Eastern Conference this season.
The Cavs earned their fifth win of the season and second in three games on Saturday by downing the Nuggets 111-104 at Gund Arena.
Dajuan Wagner and Zydrunas Ilgauskas each scored 29 points to lead Cleveland past Denver.
Ricky Davis added 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, and Carlos Boozer chipped in 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Cavaliers won for just the third time in their last 22 games.
Cleveland shot 57.3 percent for the game (43-of-75) held a 49-28 rebounding edge.
Cleveland forward Tyrone Hill left the game in the first quarter with back spasms and did not return. Hill is questionable for Monday's affair.
