Toronto, Ontario (My Sportsbook) - The injury-plagued
Toronto Raptors attempt to snap a two-game losing streak on Friday when they host the Seattle SuperSonics at Air Canada Centre.
The Raptors most recently suffered a 96-83 loss to the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.
Toronto got 24 points from Voshon Lenard, but lost for the fourth times in their last five games. Jerome Williams added 17 points and eight boards, while Morris Peterson rounded out Toronto's double-digit scorers with 15.
Vince Carter was on the sideline with his second significant injury of the season. The high-flying swingman suffered a mild strain of his right patella tendon in practice on Monday and is expected to miss two weeks. He had already been forced out of 10 games in November with a strained left quadriceps.
Center Antonio Davis also missed his second straight game with a swollen knee, and the news didn't get any better for the battered Raptors. Point guard Alvin Williams left the game in the second quarter with a sprained ankle. He scored just two points before exiting and is questionable for Friday's affair.
Toronto is 4-6 at home this season and 2-6 against the Western Conference.
Meanwhile, the Sonics improved to 1-1 on their five-game road trip with a 92-88 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. It marked the first win by a visiting team in the First Union Center this season.
Brent Barry scored 18 points and hit a key three-pointer with 40 seconds left in the fourth quarter to lift the Sonics to the comeback win.
Gary Payton and Rashard Lewis each netted 20 points to lead the Sonics, who outscored the Sixers 25-14 in the final quarter to win for the third time in five games.
Seattle is 7-6 on the road overall this season and 5-6 against the Eastern Conference.
Seattle won both meetings with Toronto last season after dropping the previous four. The Sonics have won three of their last five in Toronto.
