Sofia, Bulgaria (My Sportsbook) - Slavia Sofia named Petar Hubchev as its new head coach on Monday. The former Bulgarian international agreed to a 1 1/2-year contract and will replace Atanas Dzhambazki. Hubchev is an assistant coach on the Bulgarian national team and will take over his new post after a World Cup qualifier against Hungary on Wednesday. Dzhambazki, who led the club for six months, will stay on as Hubchev's assistant. Slavia Sofia resides in fifth place with 34 points through 19 games this season in Bulgaria's top division.
