New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - The WNBA has scheduled its 2005 draft for Saturday, April 16. The league also announced Monday that ESPN2 will televise the first round, beginning at Noon (et). NBATV will provide second- and third-round coverage. The Charlotte Sting will select first after winning the draft lottery on December 1. Indiana, Phoenix, San Antonio and Houston round out the top five. Washington, Detroit, Connecticut, Sacramento, New York, Minnesota, Seattle and Los Angeles complete the first-round draft order. The 2005 WNBA season is slated to tip-off Saturday, May 21. |
