Cordoba, Argentina (My Sportsbook) - Pato and Neymar each scored twice and Brazil defeated Ecuador, 4-2, on Wednesday night to win Group B and advance to the quarterfinals of the Copa America. Pato scored in the 27th and 60th minutes, and Neymar had goals in the 48th and 71st, as Brazil won its first game of the tournament after draws with Paraguay and Venezuela. Brazil was in danger of failing to advance to the knockout stage, and Ecuador tied the match twice after Pato's first goal and Neymar's first goal. Felipe Caicedo scored both goals for Ecuador, in the 37th and 58th. Pato responded to Caicedo's second goal with the game-winner and Neymar sealed the match with his second. Venezuela tied Paraguay, 3-3, on Wednesday and finished second in Group B, and Paraguay also advanced as the third-place finisher. Brazil will play Paraguay in the quarterfinals Sunday, days after their 2-2 draw in group play. Venezuela will play Chile in Sunday's other quarterfinal. Host Argentina plays Uruguay on Saturday, when Colombia will play Peru in the other quarterfinal, which were set last night after group play concluded.
