=== Mystics guard Dales-Schuman retires === Washington, DC (My Sportsbook) - The Washington Mystics announced Wednesday that guard Stacey Dales-Schuman has retired. The third overall pick in the 2002 WNBA Draft, Dales-Schuman averaged 9.3 points, 2.9 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game in three seasons with the Mystics. "Over the past couple of seasons my passion and spirit for playing basketball has slowly diminished," said Dales-Schuman. "Leaving the game is not an easy decision to make, but one that I am fully comfortable with for both myself and my family. I am grateful for the opportunity to have competed in the WNBA, and I wish my teammates and coaches success down the road." Dales-Schuman, who was named as a replacement to the All-Star team in 2002, was a standout at Oklahoma and led the Sooners to the 2002 National Championship game. OU lost to Connecticut in the title game. She was then hired by ESPN as a studio analyst for their coverage of women's college basketball. Since then, Dales-Schuman has added football and men's basketball to her duties. "A player of Stacey's caliber will be greatly missed by our organization," said Mystics senior vice president of business and basketball operations Judy Holland Burton.
