Madrid, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Real Madrid and Real Sociedad will complete the final minutes of its match on Jan. 5. Sunday's match was suspended due to a bomb threat at Madrid's Bernabeu stadium. With just six total minutes to go in the match, both the teams and fans were evacuated. Basque newspaper Gara reportedly received the threat, although no bomb was found. The score was tied at one at the time. Real Sociedad president Jose Luis Astiazaran announced the agreement between the clubs to play the final six minutes. "On Sunday we witnessed an abnormal situation, and thankfully nothing happened, but at this moment I'd like to congratulate Real Madrid for the efficiency at the moment of evacuation of the stadium," said Astiazaran. Real Madrid also announced Monday that the charity match scheduled for Tuesday will be played as planned. |
