Dublin, OH (My Sportsbook) - Nationwide Insurance has committed to a six-year deal to become the presenting sponsor of the PGA Tour's Memorial Tournament beginning in 2011. Jack Nicklaus' popular tournament at Muirfield Village will officially be called the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide Insurance through at least 2016. It was also announced Friday that Nationwide will end its title sponsorship of the PGA Tour's developmental circuit when the current deal expires after the 2012 season. The tour has been known as the Nationwide Tour since the insurance giant took over as title sponsor for Buy.com in 2003. The PGA Tour will have to look for a new sponsor for 2013 and beyond. |
