San Antonio, TX (My Sportsbook) - San Antonio Silver Stars forward Chamique Holdsclaw underwent successful surgery Thursday to repair the torn Achilles tendon in her right foot. The surgery was performed by foot specialist Dr. Marque Allen and orthopedic specialist Dr. Richard Steffan of the Texas Center for Athletes. A full recovery is expected for Holdsclaw, who will miss the rest of the season. Holdsclaw suffered the injury during Sunday's game against Minnesota and an MRI exam revealed the severity of the injury. Holdsclaw averaged 13.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in 29 games this season, her 11th in the WNBA. |
