Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - Toronto wide receiver/kick returner Chad Owens, Saskatchewan linebacker Jerrell Freeman, Edmonton kick returner Kelly Campbell and Hamilton defensive tackle Matt Kirk were selected as the CFL's top performers for Week 7 of the 2010 season. Owens earned the Offensive Player of the Week honor after turning in a career game in a 37-22 win over Montreal. He opened the scoring with a 63-yard touchdown grab, then in the fourth quarter, helped secure the Argonauts' first victory over the Alouettes since 2007 with a 40-yard score. Owens ended with six catches for 163 yards with the two touchdowns -- all career bests. In addition, he had two kickoff returns for 85 yards and handled six punts for 43 yards. Earning the defensive award was Freeman, who keyed Saskatchewan's defense in a 37-13 decision over British Columbia. The linebacker accumulated his first three sacks of his professional career which resulted in a total of 15 yards in losses. Campbell took home the special teams award for the week despite Edmonton getting throttled 56-15 by Calgary. Campbell returned five punts for 162 yards, including one for a 95-yard TD. He also brought back five kickoffs for 141 yards. Rounding out the weekly awards was the Canadian Player of the Week Kirk, who registered a pair of fourth-quarter sacks and three tackles in Hamilton's 39-28 victory over Winnipeg.
