San Antonio, TX (My Sportsbook) - San Antonio Silver Stars forward Chamique Holdsclaw will miss the remainder of the season because of a torn right Achilles tendon.

Holdsclaw was hurt during Sunday's game against Minnesota and an MRI exam revealed the severity of the injury.

The Silver Stars said Holdsclaw will undergo surgery at a future date.

Holdsclaw was San Antonio's third-leading scorer this season, averaging 13.6 points in 29 games. She was also the team's second-leading rebounder with 5.3 boards per game.
