Seattle, WA (My Sportsbook) - Seattle SuperSonics forward Rashard Lewis suffered a sprained left shoulder during Sunday's preseason game against Utah and is expected to miss Tuesday's exhibition contest versus Golden State. Lewis, who recently signed a seven-year, $60 million contract with the Sonics, said he felt something pop after becoming tangled with an opponent toward the end of the second quarter. The Jazz won the contest, 89-82. There are no plans to take X-rays and Lewis plans to increase strengthening exercises to keep the shoulder in place. He dislocated the shoulder during last season's playoff series against San Antonio. The 23-year-old Lewis will be entering his fifth NBA season, all with Seattle, and has career averages of 12.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. In 71 contests during the 2001-02 campaign, Lewis averaged a career-high 16.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
