Minneapolis, MN (My Sportsbook) - Nicky Anosike's free throw with 5.5 seconds left helped the Minnesota Lynx deal the Seattle Storm a rare loss, 72-71. Anosike finished with only seven points, but it was her free throw that helped the Lynx improve to 8-16, which is good enough for fourth place in the Western Conference, a half-game ahead of Los Angeles. Seimone Augustus led the team with 24 points, while Charde Houston had 14 points in the win. Sue Bird recorded 16 points and 10 assists for the Storm, who had won 13 straight games and still have the league's best record at an impressive 22-3. Tanisha Wright added 15 points, while Camille Little scored 13 in defeat. The Lynx held a 10-point lead, 64-54, with six minutes to play, but the Storm fought back to tie the game at 69-69 after a Bird pullup jumper with 1:18 to play. Anosike drained a 14-foot jumper with 46.9 seconds left to put Minnesota in front ahead, although Bird had another answer with just 18 seconds showing on the clock. Augustus missed a potential go-ahead jumper with 6.9 seconds left, but Anosike was there to grab the rebound and was immediately fouled. She missed the first free throw, but drained the second, and Bird's jumper in the final second was off the mark to seal Seattle's fate.
