Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - The Canadian Football League denied a protest by the Calgary Stampeders Monday, but did admit that game officials made a mistake during Friday's game against the British Columbia Lions. The Stampeders, who lost to the Lions 19-17, filed an official protest Monday, complaining that a last second touchdown should have counted. The score was called back when officials erroneously gave Calgary a no-yards penalty. The official protest was heard by Commissioner Tom Wright and Senior Vice President Edward Chalupka. It was agreed that an error was made, but the game result will still stand, as CFL rules and regulations do not permit a protest to change the result of the game based upon an unintentional error in judgment or a missed call.
