Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - Winnipeg Blue Bombers running back Charles Roberts was named the Canadian Football League's Offensive Player of the Month for September. Roberts rushed for 453 yards on 82 carries and added seven receptions for 59 yards, scoring five touchdowns. He helped Winnipeg to a 3-1 record in September, after the Bombers had started the season just 3-7. Calgary linebacker John Grace captured defensive honors for the second straight month. He had 18 tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery for the Stampeders, who were just 1-4 during September. British Columbia's Brent Johnson was selected as the month's top lineman after posting 11 tackles and two sacks. The special teams award went to Toronto's Arland Bruce, who recorded 339 yards on kickoff returns and 265 yards with two scores on punt returns.
