Maradona returns to Cuba for drug treatment

Havana, Cuba (My Sportsbook) - Argentine legend Diego Maradona returned to Cuba Tuesday to resume his rehabilitation for cocaine addiction.

The move follows a relapse which left Maradona confined to a psychiatric hospital in Buenos Aires. His family originally tried to keep him at home, but a court ruling allowed him to leave for Cuba.

The 43-year-old Maradona spent four years in Havana for drug rehab before returning to Argentina in April. His numerous health problems have kept Maradona in and out of hospitals over recent years.

Maradona is considered Argentina's greatest athlete, winning the World Cup in 1986 and finishing as a runner-up in 1990. He retired from soccer in 1997.

The legend said he prefers to be treated in Cuba due to privacy concerns.
