Phoenix, AZ (My Sportsbook) - The New Jersey Nets try for their third straight win when they travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns at America West Arena. New Jersey will be playing the second game of a five-game road trip. The Nets started the jaunt with a 96-82 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. New Jersey played sound defense, holding Minnesota to 37-percent shooting from the floor. Jason Kidd finished with 18 points and 12 assists and Richard Jefferson added 14 points and seven rebounds to the victory. "I saw exactly what I wanted to see," said Nets coach Byron Scott. "We played with high energy and were very aggressive on the other end." The Nets are 3-3 on the road this season and have a solid 5-1 mark against teams from the Western Conference. Phoenix snapped a three-game slide with an 86-81 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. Shawn Marion had 22 points and 15 rebounds for the Suns, who beat the Bucks in Phoenix for the 15th consecutive time. Milwaukee has lost 21 of 23 overall to the Suns. "That's what we're doing right now. We just have to keep finding ways to pull games out," coach Frank Johnson said. "It's never going to be easy for us." The Suns are 5-2 at home and have a 3-1 mark against Eastern Conference foes. The two teams have split the last four meetings with the home team prevailing in each case. Phoenix has won 14 of the last 19 meetings with New Jersey and holds a slim 28-27 edge in the all-time series.
