Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - The surging Philadelphia 76ers attempt to remain unbeaten at home and capture their fifth straight victory overall Wednesday when they welcome the Miami Heat to the First Union Center.

The Sixers, who lead the Atlantic Division by one-half game over New Jersey, are a perfect 8-0 at home this season and most recently defeated the New Orleans Hornets on their court on Monday, 108-87. Allen Iverson scored 29 points to power the Sixers.

Todd MacCulloch collected 15 points and Aaron McKie and Keith Van Horn chipped in 14 points apiece for the 76ers, who avenged a loss at the buzzer to the Hornets six days before. McKie also had seven rebounds and five steals, while Van Horn pulled down eight boards.

Eric Snow contributed 12 points, 10 assists and five rebounds for Philadelphia, which shot 50.6 percent from the floor and outrebounded New Orleans 44-30.

The Sixers are 8-4 against the Eastern Conference this season, including a 3-2 mark within the Atlantic Division.

Meanwhile, the Heat halted a three-game skid with a big 97-85 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. Eddie Jones paced six Miami players in double figures with 18 points.

Caron Butler and LaPhonso Ellis each netted 13 points for the Heat. Brian Grant chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds for Miami, which ended a five-game home losing streak.

Miami is 1-4 on the road this season and 1-8 against the East, with no wins over Atlantic Division foes (0-4).

Philadelphia won the first three meetings with the Heat last season before Miami claimed the final tilt. However, the teams split the two matchups at Philadelphia.

The Sixers have won seven of the last nine meetings overall and four of the last five at Philadelphia.
