Los Angeles Lakers try to rebound from their first loss of the season with Shaquille O'Neal when they battle the Magic in Orlando on Wednesday.
The Lakers fell to 2-1 with O'Neal in the lineup after suffering a stunning 97-85 loss at Miami on Tuesday.
Kobe Bryant paced Los Angeles with 21 points. Derek Fisher collected 20 points and O'Neal contributed 15 points on just 5-of-15 shooting with eight boards for the Lakers.
Robert Horry ended with 11 points and nine rebounds, while teammate Rick Fox added 10 points.
Prior to the game, the Lakers placed forward Samaki Walker on the injured list with a strained lower back and activated forward Mark Madsen from the IL. Madsen saw his first action of the season and scored two points in 14 minutes
Los Angeles, which plays the second of a three-game road trip Wednesday, has dropped six straight road games and is just 1-7 away from home this season. The Lakers own a 2-5 mark against the Western Conference.
Meanwhile, the Magic snapped a two-game losing streak in their last outing with a 77-75 victory over the same Miami Heat on Sunday.

The Magic, who play the second of a four-game homestand Wednesday, are 4-2 at the TD Waterhouse Centre this season and 4-5 against the Western Conference.
The Lakers have captured the last seven meetings with the Magic, including winning four straight in Orlando. The Lakers have not lost to the Magic since falling in Orlando on February 22, 1998.
