Buenos Aires, Argentina (My Sportsbook) - Just a few days after Abel Alves resigned as manager of Boca Juniors, River Plate also is on the lookout for a new boss as Leonardo Astrada was sacked by the Argentine giants on Monday. River Plate and Boca Juniors are two of the biggest clubs in Argentina, but both are in the midst of historically bad runs, with Boca Juniors sitting in 19th place in the 20-team league table, while River Plate is just two points better in 17th. Astrada has guided River to just three wins in its first 14 games this season, and the club is winless in its last five matches, including four defeats. The latest result, a 0-0 draw with last-placed Tucuman on Sunday, appears to have been the last straw.
