(My Sportsbook) - Hawks general manager conceded that his team may take some time to improve. Head coach Lon Kruger feels it could happen at a much quicker pace.

After three consecutive defeats, one can see a pattern developing. When the Hawks value possessions by taking care of the basketball, they win. When they don't, it gets real, real ugly.

Over three game-slide, Atlanta has turned the ball over 53 times leading to 53 points for the opposition. The worst of the three games was the second of two against Boston, when the Hawks turned the ball over 25 times leading to 24 Boston points.

"We didn't play well against Minnesota [last Wednesday], but we played a pretty game for 43 minutes against Boston," Kruger said of a game when the Hawks squandered a 13-point lead over the final eight minutes.

Kruger knows his team has sins, but he feels his current roster can be a lot more effective. .

"We have the players who can get things done," Kruger told the Atlanta Journal Constitution. "Our guys understand what they have to do."

The Hawks' next task is the Seattle SuperSonics on Tuesday night. Seattle won both meetings with Atlanta last season and has won four of the last five overall. The Sonics have also won three straight in Atlanta and six of their last seven.

Atlanta can consider itself fortunate that is catching the Sonics at the right time. Seattle has lost three of its last four and is making its third stop of a four-game road trip. Overall, Seattle has been solid on the road, winning six games in nine tries away from KeyArena. The Hawks have posted a 3-4 mark against Western Conference foes.
