Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - The Philadelphia Eagles signed restricted free agent running back Mike Bell to an offer sheet on Thursday. The New Orleans Saints now have seven days to match the deal, which the Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting to be a one-year, $1.7 million pact. Bell rushed for 654 yards and five touchdowns on 172 carries last year for the Saints despite suffering a knee injury early in the season. It was his best campaign since amassing 677 rushing yards and eight TDs in 15 games for the Broncos in 2006, his rookie year. The University of Arizona product has played in 37 career games, logging 1,376 yards and 14 scores on 348 carries. |
