Miami, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Miami Dolphins signed linebacker Karlos Dansby on Saturday to a reported five-year contract, taking arguably the top- rated free agent linebacker off the market. The deal is reportedly worth $43 million, with $22 million guaranteed. Dansby, who has spent his entire six-year career with the Arizona Cardinals, is most remembered for scoring the game-winning touchdown in overtime during the team's win over the Green Bay Packers in what was the highest-scoring playoff game in NFL history. In addition to that feat, the 28-year-old has also been a standout defender, posting 109 tackles with a sack and an interception last season for Arizona. A second-round pick out of Auburn in 2004, Dansby has started at least 10 games in each of his six seasons with the Cardinals. He recorded a career-high 119 tackles in 2008 and has posted as many as eight sacks in 2006. In 90 career regular season games, Dansby has 553 combined tackles, 25 1/2 sacks, 10 interceptions and two touchdowns.
