Lake Forest, IL (My Sportsbook) - Defensive end Bryan Robinson was among the final cuts Sunday by the Chicago Bears. Robinson, an eight-year NFL veteran, had been the longest-tenured defensive player on the club. He had 16 1/2 sacks and 331 tackles in six years with the Bears. First-round pick Tommie Harris is expected to step into the starting lineup. Also released were running backs Rabih Abdullah and Brock Forsey; wide receivers Ahmad Merritt, Aaron Boone and Andre Forde; defensive backs Blue Adams, Vontez Duff and Alfonso Marshall; offensive linemen Bryan Anderson, Michael Keathley and Josh Warner; linebackers Jeremy Cain, Bryan Knight and Jerry Schumacher; defensive linemen Quinn Dorsey, Shurron Pierson and Cliff Washburn; tight end Mike Pinkard; and punter Brooks Barnard. The Bears also placed offensive tackle Marc Colombo on the physically unable to perform list because of a knee problem that dates back to the 2002 season. He is unable to play for the first six weeks of the season. Chicago also placed tight end Gabe Reid on injured reserve with a knee injury he sustained in the preseason finale against Cleveland.
