Irving, TX (My Sportsbook) - Dallas Cowboys veteran safety Darren Woodson will have to miss at least the first five games of the season after he was placed on the physically unable to perform list Friday. In July, Woodson had a herniated disc removed from his back and still isn't ready to practice. He suffered a ruptured disk in his back while working out. He is the team's all-time leading tackler with 1,350 career stops and the only member of the current roster to own three Cowboys' Super Bowl rings. The 35-year-old Woodson posted 99 tackles and one interception in 16 games last season. Woodson, a 12-year veteran out of Arizona State, has 23 interceptions and two touchdowns in his career. Woodson was a second-round draft choice of the Cowboys in 1992.
