Christchurch, New Zealand (My Sportsbook) - Laura Davies posted a four-under 68 on Sunday to come from behind and win the New Zealand Women's Open on the Ladies European Tour. Davies finished the tournament at nine-under 279 and won by strokes at New South Wales Golf Club. The win was Davies' 39th on the Ladies European Tour 73rd worldwide. "I love to play and I love to win, this is what its all about as far as I am concerned," said Davies. Third-round leader Sarah Kemp (71), Marianne Skarpnord (68) and Pernilla Lindberg (63) shared second place at minus-seven. Georgina Simpson (69) and Gwladys Nocera (67) tied for fifth at five-under 283. Davies was flawless on Sunday with four birdies and no bogeys. She drained a 20-foot birdie putt on the 16th that essentially earned her the trip to the winner's circle. "That was crucial," Davies said of her birdie at No. 16. "I played that hole really well. I was quite pleased with that." Lorie Kane (71), Mina Harigae (70), Linda Wessberg (69), Iben Tinning (69), Lydia Ko (69) and Becky Brewerton (72) finished in a tie for seventh place at four-under 284.
