Pittsburgh, PA (My Sportsbook) - The Pittsburgh Steelers Friday released seven players, including three-year veteran quarterback Kurt Kittner. Kittner was selected in the fifth round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. He appeared in eight games (four starts) last season for Atlanta, completing 44 of his 114 passes for 391 yards, with two touchdowns and six interceptions. The Illinois product joined punter Mike Barr, defensive tackle Grant Bowman, cornerback Nashville Dyer, center Jimond Pugh and wide receivers Glenn Martinez and Huey Whittaker as Pittsburgh's cuts.
