Kansas City, MO (My Sportsbook) - The Kansas City Chiefs placed wide receiver Marc Boerigter on injured reserve Wednesday, ending his 2004 season. Boerigter, who twisted his right knee during a 21-19 exhibition loss against the Cleveland Browns, caught 11 passes for 158 yards for the Chiefs last season. He had a breakout season for the Chiefs during his rookie campaign in 2002. He hauled in 31 catches for 578 yards with eight touchdown passes, including a 99-yard touchdown reception against the San Diego, which tied an NFL history. The loss of Boerigter comes at a critical time for Kansas City, which has question marks at the wide receiver position this season, with starters Johnny Morton and Eddie Kennison both battling injuries during training camp.
