Cleveland, OH (My Sportsbook) - The Cleveland Indians reached an agreement with veteran pitcher Jamey Wright on a minor league contract that includes an invitation to spring training. The 35-year-old right-hander was with Kansas City last season and finished 3-5 with a 4.33 earned run average while leading the team with 65 relief outings. He also led the Royals bullpen with 79 innings pitched. Wright, who will be entering his 15th big league season, has a career record of 82-115 with a 5.03 ERA in 420 games, including 246 starts, with Colorado, Milwaukee, St. Louis, San Francisco, Texas and Kansas City.
