=== Jets re-sign defensive back Henderson === Hempstead, NY (My Sportsbook) - The New York Jets on Wednesday re-signed defensive back Jamie Henderson, who will miss the upcoming 2004 season due to a motorcycle accident that occurred in April. Henderson, who was seriously injured during the incident, was placed on the reserve-non-football injury list. He was a restricted free agent and he is still recovering from injuries he sustained when he lost control of his motorcycle in Georgia. "We're cautiously optimistic Jamie will participate in our 2005 off-season program," Jets' Executive Vice President and General Manager Terry Bradway said. "It was unfortunate what Jamie has experienced. He is part of our organization, and we felt signing him was the right thing to do." In 32 games with the Jets, Henderson posted 30 tackles with one interception. A primary special teams standout, Henderson collected 41 tackles and a blocked punt on special teams. |
