Davie, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Miami Dolphins Wednesday signed veteran defensive end Chidi Ahanotu to a one-year contract. The 33-year-old Ahanotu was selected by Tampa Bay in the sixth round of the 1993 NFL Draft. He spent the first eight years of his career with the Buccaneers, before being released in April of 2001. Ahanotu then played one season each for St. Louis, Buffalo and San Francisco. Last year for the 49ers, he appeared in all 16 games, including one start, and recorded 27 tackles and four sacks. During his 11-year NFL career, Ahanotu has totaled 417 tackles and 42 sacks. In other news, the team waived long snapper William Delahoussaye. |
