Alameda, CA (My Sportsbook) - Oakland cornerback Charles Woodson finally ended a lengthy holdout Tuesday and signed the Raiders' one-year tender. The deal is reportedly worth $8.782 million for the upcoming season. Woodson, who had been a holdout for 33 days, is expected to join his team in training camp later this week. The 27-year-old Woodson, who was labeled as the team's franchise player in February, will now be able to negotiate a long-term deal. Woodson has said he wants a contract that makes him the highest paid cornerback in the NFL. Woodson, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, had been working out twice a day in Houston so it appears he will be fit for the upcoming season. However, Oakland head coach Norv Turner said Woodson would not play in Thursday's final exhibition game against St. Louis and the star cornerback would not start in the Raiders' season-opener against Pittsburgh on September 12. The former Michigan product has 12 interceptions, six forced fumbles and two interceptions in his six-year career.
