=== Falcons rookie Hall out 6-to-10 weeks === Flowery Branch, GA (My Sportsbook) - Atlanta Falcons rookie cornerback DeAngelo Hall is expected to miss the next 6-to-10 weeks with a partially fractured hip. Hall, the eighth overall pick in the 2004 draft, sustained the injury while batting down a pass during an exhibition game versus the Cincinnati Bengals on August 28. "We're optimistic that he's going to be back sooner rather than later, but obviously that's just going to depend on how he heals," Falcons head coach Jim Mora Jr. said after Tuesday's practice. An MRI exam on Sunday was negative, however, a visit Monday to a hip specialist proved otherwise. "But by no means is it season-ending or anything like that," Mora added. "We'll get him back eventually and we'll adjust as we go." Kevin Mathis is expected to replace Hall in the starting lineup on Friday night when the Falcons play the Washington Redskins. During his junior season at Virginia Tech, Hall played all 13 games as the Hokies went 8-5. On the few occasions opponents threw his way, Hall recorded one interception and five pass breakups, while also recovering a fumble for a touchdown and totaling 93 tackles. An all-purpose threat, Hall returned 33 punts for 487 yards and three touchdowns for the Hokies. Offensively, he reeled in seven catches for 86 yards and three scores and rushed twice for 24 yards and one touchdown.
