Athens, Greece (My Sportsbook) - Emilie Lepennec of France won the gold medal in the women's uneven bars event Sunday at the Summer Games. Terin Humphrey and Courtney Kupets gave the United States the silver and bronze, respectively. Humphrey scored a 9.662, just .025 points behind Lepennec. Kupets posted a score of 9.637. There was one other women's event, as Monica Rosu of Romania won the gold medal in the vault with a score of 9.656. American Annia Hatch won a silver medal with a score of 9.481, while Russian Anna Pavlova captured the bronze with a 9.475 total. Three men's events were on tap Sunday night, and Canadian Kyle Shewfelt won the gold medal in the floor exercise. Former world champion Marian Dragulescu of Romania won the silver medal, while Jordan Jovtchev of Bulgaria captured the bronze. Shewfelt and Dragulescu each had scores of 9.787, but Shewfelt won a tiebreaker. Jovtchev had a score of 9.775. American twin brothers Paul and Morgan Hamm, finished fifth and eighth, respectively. Paul Hamm won the all-around gold medal earlier at these Games. Winning gold on the pommel horse was Teng Haibin of China with Marius Daniel Urzica of Romania winning the silver and Takehiro Kahsima of Japan taking home bronze. Paul Hamm finished in sixth place. Also this evening, the men will compete on the rings.
