Seattle, WA (My Sportsbook) - The Portland Trail Blazers try for their third straight win when they travel to KeyArena to take on the Seattle SuperSonics.
Portland is coming off a 98-84 victory over the Orlando Magic. Derek Anderson scored 26 points in his second game back after a four-game hiatus due to a concussion.
"When we execute like we did tonight, we look a lot better and we have a lot more fun," Anderson said. "We had to play together to put these guys away."
Rasheed Wallace scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while Scottie Pippen added 13 points and five assists for the Blazers.
Wallace had three sup-par games in a row, so coach Maurice Cheeks was pleased with his effort against Orlando.
"It was a breakout game for Rasheed," Cheeks said. "He got out of his slump, but we expected that to happen."
Seattle had its four-game winning streak snapped by the Orlando Magic 101-84 on Tuesday night. Orlando's Tracy McGrady was too much for Seattle, scoring 13 of his 41 points in the final seven minutes of the second quarter.
"We didn't take the ball out of Tracy's hands early," said Sonics coach Nate McMillan. "We allowed him to get hot before we started our double-teaming and our rotations."
Rashard Lewis scored 23 points for the Sonics in the losing effort.
This is the first meeting of the season between the teams. Portland won three of the four meetings last season, including both games at KeyArena. The Trail Blazers have lost 15 of their last 22 at Seattle and trail the all-time, overall series 86-82.
