Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - Catriona Matthew collected her first LPGA Tour major championship on Sunday winning the Women's British Open and that helped her leap 50 places to No. 14 in the women's world golf rankings. Lorena Ochoa held steady at No. 1 and was followed by Yani Tseng, Cristie Kerr, Jiyai Shin, Paula Creamer and Suzann Pettersen. Karrie Webb took second behind Matthew and moved up two places to No. 7 and that move knocked Angela Stanford and In Kyung Kim down one spot apiece. Helen Alfredsson remained No. 10 this week. Ai Miyazato climbed a pair to 11th and knocked Eun-Hee Ji and Song-Hee Kim down to 12 and 13, respectively. Matthew was trailed by Lindsey Wright, who dropped one to 15, while Na Yeon Choi held steady at No. 16. Candie Kung fell two to 17, Kristy McPherson jumped three to 18, while Katherine Hull slipped a notch to 19. Hee-Won Han jumped six places to No. 20, while Seon-Hwa Lee, Anna Nordqvist and Brittany Lincicome all fell out of the top 20 this week.
