(My Sportsbook) - The Portland Trail Blazers leave behind the cozy confines of the Rose Garden Monday to travel down the west coast and face the struggling
Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center.
Brandon Roy had 22 points, seven assists and matched a franchise record with 10 steals, as the Trail Blazers defeated the Washington Wizards, 100-87, at the Rose Garden on Saturday.
Greg Oden recorded a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds for Portland, which has alternated wins and losses over the last six games. LaMarcus Aldridge also scored 18 points, while Sergio Rodriguez totaled 12 points and eight assists.
The Blazers are a gaudy 16-5 in Portland, but 10-12 as the visitor this season.
LA, meanwhile, fell in Oakland on Sunday when former Clipper Corey Maggette logged 20 points and six rebounds, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 107-92 victory over his old team.
Rookie Eric Gordon had a game-high 21 points for the Clippers, who have lost 15 of 17 overall.
Al Thornton contributed 17 points, while Ricky Davis had 15 points and seven assists in the loss for LA, which continues to play without stars Baron Davis (tailbone/hamstring), Zach Randolph (knee) and Marcus Camby (ankle).
Davis and Randolph are expected to remain on the sidelines tonight while Camby is questionable for the Clips, who are a miserable 5-18 on their home floor.
Portland had lost eight straight against the Clippers at Staples Center before winning in both of its visits last season. The Blazers also bested LA in double overtime, 120-112, at the Rose Garden on December 12 of this season.
