St. Petersburg, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned forward Steve Downie and defenseman Ty Wishart to Norfolk of the American Hockey League. Downie has played in 18 contests this season with both Philadelphia and Tampa Bay, and owns two goals and an assist in 12 games with the Lightning. The Ontario native also recorded nine goals and 32 points in 22 AHL games with the Phantoms and Admirals this season. The 5-11, 200-pound Downie has eight goals and 15 points over 50 career NHL games. He was acquired from the Flyers earlier this season. Wishart appeared in his first two NHL games this season with Tampa Bay, recording an assist. He has posted one goal and three points through 36 games with Norfolk this season, and joined the Lightning from San Jose in July. |
