Washington Wizards attempt to extend their winning streak to four games Tuesday when they host the Seattle SuperSonics at MCI Center.
After beginning the season 1-3, the Wizards have rolled off three straight wins to move above .500 on the season.
Washington's most recent victory came at Cleveland on Saturday. Jerry Stackhouse scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Wizards posted a 93-79 victory over the Cavaliers at Gund Arena.
Michael Jordan and Tyronn Lue each chipped in 12 points for the Wizards. Jordan added eight rebounds and a team-high six assists. Washington outscored Cleveland in the paint, 36-24, and held the Cavs to 35 percent shooting.
The Wizards earned their first road win of the season (1-2).
With a win Tuesday, Washington head coach Doug Collins will notch the 300th of his NBA career. Collins, in his eighth season as a coach, has an overall record of 299-245, also heading Chicago and Detroit.
The Sonics will finish a five-game road trip on Tuesday. The team is 2-2 on the swing so far and is coming off an 84-82 win over the Miami Heat on Saturday.
Rashard Lewis scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Gary Payton contributed 20 points and 11 assists for Seattle, which snapped a two-game skid.
Brent Barry had 14 points and Vladimir Radmanovic chipped in 12 points and 10 boards for the Sonics, who were 12-of-17 from three-point range.
Payton enters Tuesday's game just four assists away from becoming the 11th player in NBA history to reach 7,000 for his career.
The Sonics and Wizards split two meetings last season, with the road team winning each game. Seattle has won five of the last six overall. The Sonics have won the last three matchups at Washington 10 of the last 12.
Seattle is 3-2 on the road this season, while the Wizards are 3-1 at MCI Center.
