Detroit, MI (My Sportsbook) - The Detroit Red Wings have agreed to terms with forward Darren McCarty on a one-year contract, general manager Ken Holland announced Wednesday. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. The rugged winger rejoined the Red Wings organization last February after spending two years with the Calgary Flames. McCarty collected an assist in three regular-season games and appeared in 17 postseason games during Detroit's run to the 2008 Stanley Cup. A native of Burnaby, British Columbia, McCarty played the first 11 seasons of his NHL career in Detroit. The 36-year-old has compiled 126 goals and 287 points in 745 career games with the Red Wings and Flames.
