San Antonio, TX (My Sportsbook) - The San Antonio Spurs Friday placed guard Ron Mercer on waivers. Mercer was obtained by San Antonio along with swingman Hedo Turkoglu on July 24, 2003 as part of a three-team trade with Indiana and Sacramento. In the deal, the Pacers received forwards Danny Ferry and Scot Pollard, while the Kings acquired center Brad Miller. In 39 games this season for the Spurs, Mercer averaged 5.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per outing. |
