Dallas, TX (My Sportsbook) - The San Antonio Spurs suffered a 115-91 setback to the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday and lost two-time MVP Tim Duncan in the process.

Duncan played 25 minutes before exiting in the third quarter with a left knee injury. He went to the bench with 7:15 remaining in the quarter and finished with 22 points and 17 rebounds.

San Antonio had its two-game winning streak come to an end and fell to 0-4 versus the Mavericks this season.

Michael Finley poured in a game-high 30 points and the Mavericks cruised to the Midwest-Division triumph at the American Airlines Center.

Dirk Nowitzki had 23 points, six rebounds and five assists for Dallas, which has won four straight games overall.

Steve Nash added 15 points and nine assists as the Mavericks posted their sixth consecutive victory at home. Antawn Jamison chipped in 13 points and eight boards in the win.

Hedo Turkoglu stepped up and had 16 points as the Spurs dropped their fifth game in six tries versus Dallas.

It was the Finley show in the third quarter, as his three-pointer early in the period made it 62-53. With less than three minutes left in the frame, Finley knocked down another three for an 84-72 advantage. His halfcourt shot at the buzzer gave the Mavs a 94-76 lead after three quarters.

Finley had 12 points in the third quarter for Dallas, which posted 46 points in the period.

Dallas, which has scored more than 100 points in 14 of its last 18 games, took its largest lead of the night at 109-78 on a floater by Marquis Daniels with 5:35 to go. The loss of Duncan proved to be costly and the Spurs had no chance for a comeback.

Turkoglu's second three-pointer of the night staked the Spurs to a 15-13 lead with less than five minutes to go in the first quarter. Finley then buried a three for Dallas, which grabbed an 18-17 edge. The rest of the quarter was tight throughout with the score knotted at 23 apiece after 12 minutes.

Robert Horry buried a three-pointer early in the second quarter to give San Antonio a 33-30 lead. Each team then engaged in a see-saw battle with the Mavericks clinging to a 48-44 halftime edge.
