=== Columbus Blue Jackets Team Report - February 24 === (My Sportsbook) - The Columbus Blue Jackets were handed a 4-2 setback by the San Jose Sharks at HP Pavilion on Monday. Jonathan Cheechoo scored twice in the third period to lift the Sharks. Pascal Leclaire was brilliant in net for Columbus despite giving up all four goals. The rookie goaltender, playing in just his second career game, finished with 34 stops, but it was not enough to keep the Blue Jackets from remaining winless in their last 11 road tilts (0-8-3). Rostislav Klesla and Anders Eriksson scored for Columbus, which also lost its fourth straight overall. The Blue Jackets fell to 1-7 all-time in San Jose in what was the finale of a four-game road trip for Columbus. Columbus, which is tied with Chicago for the worst record in the Western Conference, open a home-and-home against the Blackhawks on Wednesday at Nationwide Arena. |
