Sacramento, CA (My Sportsbook) - The
Sacramento Kings target their fourth consecutive win this evening when they welcome the
Atlanta Hawks to ARCO Arena.
On Sunday, Peja Stojakovic scored 24 points to lead the Kings to a 130-99 rout of the Seattle SuperSonics. Stojakovic hit six three-pointers in the contest, as the Kings registered a season high in points.
Bobby Jackson added 21 points and Brad Miller had 16 as seven Sacramento players reached double digits in the contest, allowing the Kings to improve to an NBA-best 17-2 at home this season. Doug Christie and Tony Massenburg each chipped in 14.
The Kings have also won seven of their last eight at home.
Mike Bibby scored 13 and Darius Songaila contributed 12 for Sacramento, which won its seventh game in nine tries.
Sacramento shot 58 percent (52-of-89) for the game, including 52 percent (12- of-23) from beyond the arc. In addition to their torrid shooting, the Kings also won the battle of the boards by a 47-30 margin.
Atlanta, meanwhile, also comes into tonight's contest on a winning note after Stephen Jackson scored 25 points and Shareef Abdur-Rahim added 17 points and 11 rebounds in the Hawks' 84-76 win over the Denver Nuggets.
Dion Glover added 12 points while Theo Ratliff collected 11 boards and four blocks for Atlanta, which won for the second time in three games.
Atlanta was ahead by one point after three quarters at 69-68, and got lucky in the fourth. Even though the Hawks scored just 15 points in the frame, they couldn't match the futility of the Nuggets, who couldn't buy a basket in the fourth.
Denver scored just eight points in the final stanza, and had just six until Carmelo Anthony's dunk with 14 seconds remaining.
The Hawks, who will be playing the fourth leg of a six-game road trip tonight, has dropped 10 of its last 12 on the road and are just 5-15 away from home this season.
Sacramento defeated the Hawks earlier in the season and has won five of the last six matchups. Atlanta has also lost three in a row at ARCO, but have won five of its last nine in Sacramento.
