=== Denver Nuggets Team Report - December 21 === (My Sportsbook) - Denver came up short Saturday, dropping a 115-106 decision to the Seattle SuperSonics. Voshon Lenard poured in 31 to lead the Nuggets, losers of back-to-back contests, while Andre Miller finished with 21 points. Miller secured eight rebounds. Carmelo Anthony, who finished with 12 before fouling out late in the fourth, got the Nuggets within five in the closing minutes when his lay up just past the two-minute mark of the final stanza made it 106-101. Anthony, hampered by a right big toe injury of late, had X-rays taken after the game, but the results were negative. After both teams were scoreless in the next minute of play, Rashard Lewis added insurance points with a slam to make it 108-101 with 50 ticks left. Nuggets' forward Ryan Bowen was cut when he took an elbow to the forehead in the third quarter. Bowen received a standing ovation when he returned to the bench in the fourth but did not play the remainder of the game. The Nuggets return to the court to face the Memphis Grizzlies Monday.
