Sacramento, CA (My Sportsbook) - Earl Watson recorded his first career triple-double, scoring 23 points, dishing out 10 assists and grabbing 10 rebounds as the Seattle SuperSonics surged past the Sacramento Kings for a 105-92 win at ARCO Arena.

Watson went 9-of-12 from the field and 3-of-4 from three-point range as the Sonics won for the fourth time in the last five games. Kevin Durant paced four other Sonics in double figures with 17 points, while Chris Wilcox scored 15 and hauled in 10 boards.

"(Earl) distributed the ball, made great decisions, and rebounded the ball," said Sonics head coach P.J. Carlesimo. "He was unbelievable. He also did a real good job getting us into sets. He hit big shots for us when we needed them."

Seattle shot 52.6 percent from the field and doled out 27 assists on 40 field goals on the way to victory.

Ron Artest tallied 20 points to lead the Kings, while Mikki Moore added 10 points and nine boards in the losing effort. Francisco Garcia and John Salmons each scored 11 as Sacramento had its four-game winning streak halted.

Sacramento played without reigning Western Conference player of the week Brad Miller, who missed the game with a lacerated right index finger.

Trailing by three shortly after halftime, Watson tied up the game with a three-pointer from the right corner 55 seconds into the second half, and Kurt Thomas hit a jumper 39 seconds later to give Seattle its first lead of the night, 53-51.

The Sonics then proceeded to take control, extending their lead to nine when Durant canned a three just past the halfway point of the stanza.

Sacramento crawled back within four on a trey from Garcia, but Watson and Wally Szczerbiak responded with successive threes to give the Sonics their first double-digit lead, 74-64. The Kings closed to within six in the final minute, but a leaner from Durant in the waning seconds gave Seattle an 81-73 lead heading into the final stanza.

Seattle took the momentum into the fourth quarter, running off the first 13 points of the quarter to take a 21-point lead after Nick Collison's turnaround jumper with 8:06 to play. Sacramento finally stemmed the tide on a jump hook from Moore just over four minutes into the quarter.

"We were making shots first of all and we were following the system," Durant said. "It is a big time for us. They beat us twice recently. This is what we needed to keep the momentum going."

A layup from Mike Bibby cut the deficit to 11 with less than six minutes left, but the Kings never cut the lead to single digits as Seattle cruised home with a win.

Sacramento controlled the early going, as Artest scored 13 points in the opening quarter and the Kings led by as many as nine points on their way to a 29-25 lead after the opening 12 minutes of play.

The Kings continued to push ahead early in the second quarter, leading by as many as a dozen points after Garcia drained a three just over four minutes into the frame.

But, Seattle peeled off a 9-2 run, capped off by a jumper from Durant that cut the Sacramento lead to 42-37 with 5:07 left before the break. Seattle closed within two on a dunk by Sczerbiak with 1:48 left, but the Kings scored the next four points to go up by six in the final seconds.

However, Watson drilled a three, then hit a pair of free throws with 3.9 seconds left in the half, and Seattle trailed by one at intermission, 49-48.

"I have been close a few times, but I was not sure I was going to get it," said Watson of his triple-double. "My teammates told me during the fourth that I was getting close. It's nice to get."
