Dallas, TX (My Sportsbook) - The Dallas Stars placed defenseman Philippe Boucher on injured reserve Monday following surgery to repair a broken left eye socket. The surgery was performed by Dr. Grant Gilliland and Dr. Jeff Kenkel at Baylor Medical Center of Dallas, and included the placement of five plates and screws to help the fracture heal properly. He will be out indefinitely and be re-evaluated in two weeks. Boucher suffered a fractured left orbital bone on November 28 in the Stars' 2-0 win over New Jersey when he was hit in the face by a puck. The 6-foot-3 defenseman has played in 23 games with the Stars this season and registered three goals and four assists with a plus-six rating. Dallas recalled defenseman Jeff MacMillan from the Utah Grizzlies of the American Hockey League to take Boucher's roster spot.
